Allison Whitehead, Alexander Technique teacher, Gloucester, Gloucestershire

Allison Whitehead

Since graduating from the Oxford Alexander Training School, I have set up my own practice at my home in Gloucester city centre. I offer individual lessons either during the day or in the early evening for those at work.

I originally trained in music education at Dartington College of Arts and have for many years enjoyed teaching children and adults to play the cello. I turned to the Alexander Technique for help to manage my worsening neck and shoulder pain, caused by many years of playing and carrying a cello. I found that the Technique not only did this successfully but also improved so many aspects of my day-to-day life that I decided to take it further and to train to teach the Alexander Technique to others.
