Clare Rourke

Clare teaches from home in East Oxford and assists Penny O'Connor on the MA course for Actors at the ArtsEd School in Chiswick.

Clare has completed a 3 year full time training at the Oxford Alexander Technique Training school and is a Member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique.

Before training Clare had studied the Technique for 7 years with several Alexander teachers and has a great enthusiasm for the work based on the positive impact it can have for individuals both personally and professionally.

Clare is a graduate in Mathematics and has worked for over 10 years as a Logistics Consultant and Project Manager. She plays folk guitar and particularly enjoys exploring the use of the Technique in musical performance (and as a tool to address stagefright !).
