Gentian Rahtz, Alexander Technique teacher, Oxford

Gentian Rahtz

B.A., M.Ed., MSTAT

Gentian is an experienced and senior teacher of the Technique.

The Alexander Technique teaches us to be aware of how we move and breathe and come to stillness in everyday life. As small children we mostly had very good "use of ourselves" and moved in a very free, co-ordinated and open hearted way. As adults many of us have acquired physical, mental and emotional habits which can put the brakes on natural good functioning.

This work of skilful observation and re-education involves a mixture of subtle hands-on work and talking. It can be life changing and is particularly useful for bad backs/neck/shoulders, for people who use their bodies professionally and for stress in all its guises.

Please have a look at www.stat.org.uk and www.touchingthespirit.com for more information from our professional society and Gentian's web site (the contact details are out of date)

Please feel free to contact me any with questions etc.
